WYNNEWOOD POOL RULES
Authority & Enforcement
- All members and guests must respect the authority of the Wynnewood Pool manager and staff at all times. Lifeguards have the authority to enforce rules.
- 3 STRIKE RULE
- FIRST STRIKE: verbal warning
- SECOND STRIKE: Sit out on the bench for 15 minutes
- THIRD STRIKE: Excused from the club for the day
- Repeat offenders risk loss of club privileges.
- Use of foul language will result in an automatic three-day suspension.
- Other inappropriate behavior or misconduct will be handled at the discretion of pool management.
Pool Access & Operating Conditions
- The pool may only be used when it is officially open and lifeguards are on duty.
- Admission may be refused to anyone with:
- Communicable diseases
- Skin diseases, open sores, bandages
- Inflamed eyes, colds, nasal or ear discharge
- Excessive sunburn
- All members must have an updated photo for each member on their membership for entry. No photo, no entry.
- Anyone listed on a membership application who does not qualify will cause immediate revocation of membership with no refund.
Health, Safety & Conduct
- Running, rough play, or any behavior that endangers the safety of others is prohibited.
- All first-aid cases, no matter how minor, must be reported to management.
- No glass of any kind is permitted anywhere on pool property.
- All trash must be placed in designated containers.
- No street clothes are permitted in the pool—bathing suits only.
- Smoking, eating, and drinking are not permitted on the immediate pool deck (within 8 feet of the pool edge).
- No one under 18 is permitted to smoke on pool property.
- Large coolers (larger than a 6-pack) are not allowed on the pool deck, including green benches and chairs.
- Personal chairs must be placed at least 8 feet from the pool edge.
Children & Supervision
- Children under 13 years of age must be accompanied by an adult (18 or older) to enter the pool grounds.
- Children under 18 may not sign in guests.
- Toilet-trained children under age 6 may enter the pool with an adult during Adult Swim.
- Diapers are not permitted in the main pool under any circumstances.
- Only toilet-trained children may use the main pool.
- Swim diapers are allowed only in the baby pool.
- Parents/guardians are responsible for supervising children on playground equipment. The pool cannot provide child care.
Guests & Parties
Guest Policies
- Guests are limited to 10 visits per season.
- Guests must register in the guest book at the pool office.
- Members must stay with their guests at all times and are responsible for their conduct.
- Houseguests are exempt from the 10-visit limit.
- Weekly houseguest passes are available, or guests may pay daily admission.
- All other guests must pay admission for each visit. Cash only.
- No members under 18 may sign in guests.
- Supporting member free guest credits cannot be used on Sundays or Holidays. You can pay for guests in these circumstances.
Guest Limits & Parties
- Members may bring up to 6 guests per visit, per membership.
- Requests to bring more than 6 guests require advance approval from the pool manager.
- Pool parties require approval from the pool manager at least two weeks in advance.
- No parties are approved by the pool manager on Sundays or holidays.
Pool Equipment, Toys & Activities
- No snorkels, facemasks, fins, or inner tubes are allowed in the pool.
- During Adult Swim, child-sized floats and water toys are permitted for children under 6.
- Exceptions may be made for adults (18+) using pool exercise equipment Monday–Friday only, at management’s discretion.
- When the pool is crowded and three guards are required in chairs, no ball playing in the pool is allowed.
Ball Play, Games & Recreation
- The following are not allowed on pool property:
- Hardballs, softballs, lacrosse balls, tennis balls, golf balls
- Personal cornhole boards, ladder ball sets, or tetherball games
- Wiffle ball, football, and soccer are permitted only in the back grassy area.
- Ball playing is not allowed on:
- The pool deck
- The upper entrance area to the pool
Bicycles, Wheels & Mobility Items
- No skateboards, scooters, electric cars, or pedal cars may be ridden on pool property.
- Bicycles must be walked to the bike rack and properly stored.
- Bikes should be secured with a chain lock.
Grills & Food Preparation
- Members may not bring personal cooking equipment onto pool grounds.
- Charcoal grills are provided and are the only cooking equipment allowed.
- Charcoal only may be used in the grills.
- Reminder: no glass allowed on the grounds
Deep Water & Swimming Ability
- Any member or guest using the diving board or swimming in deep water may be required to demonstrate swimming ability, at the discretion of lifeguards or management.
DIVING REGULATIONS
- Only one person on the diving board at a time.
- Do not dive until the previous diver has reached the ladder.
- Diving must be forward only.
- Only one bounce is permitted on the diving board.
